Lexicon of Sustainability Pop-Up Art Show
What does a fair, ecologically regenerative food system look like? The UVA Food Collaborative and OpenGrounds presented the Lexicon of Sustainability Pop-Up Show, featuring more than a dozen information artworks that beautifully explain seed sovereignty, urban apiaries, true-cost accounting, and more. Inertia, Time Based Art. New media work by graduate students of James Madison University's studio art program, including a special performance by Visiting Faculty R. Mertens of a Donna Haraway Lecture rebroadcast. A mix of installations, performances and videos.

Open Mic Nights with O Records. OpenGrounds and O Records, an all student-run record label, launched a new series of bi-weekly Thursday night Open Mic sessions held at the Corner Studio. All musicians were welcome to join, and perform – from vocalists to guitarists to full bands.

Art Drinks
Co-hosted by Piedmont Council for the Arts, The Institute for Humanities and Global Cultues, and OpenGrounds
Art drinks is a monthly casual networking event where you can mingle with other arts enthusiasts and creative professionals in Charlottesville.

Black Alumni Weekend Art Show

The Black Student Alliance (BSA) and OpenGrounds presented "The Black Experience" during the UVA. Black Alumni Weekend. The exhibition featured Black artists on grounds whose work reflects the experiences they have had at the University of Virginia, focusing on aspects of what it is like being a Black student at a predominantly white institution.
