VAST Exhibition Opening. Visual-Audio Sketching and Telematics
Architects and Composers Collaborate Between Charlottesville and Venice
Monday, November 4 | 5:00 - 7:30 pm

The VAST (Visual-Audio Sketching and Telematics) Exhibition features multimedia works by composers and architects collaborating between Venice and Charlottesville. Students in the Composition and Computer Technologies (CCT) Program in the Department of Music worked closely with School of Architecture students based at the IUAV Universita Iuav di Venezia. Under the guidance of professors Matthew Burtner and Anselmo Canfora, collaborative teams developed topics of investigation based on historic sites in Venice.
